Flight Academy
A program for 14 to 17-year-olds who are drawn to flying. Selected members complete glider training for free (worth €1,990).
How to apply
- aged 14 to 17 at the time of registration
- a written answer of up to one A4 page on “5 reasons why I want to fly”
- we invite the 20 most interesting applicants to the second round, and 5 finalists complete the training for free
- registration for the 2027 intake is open until 31 Mar 2027
Member commitments
- 50 hours of volunteer work per year – helping with training and maintaining the aircraft and runway
- annual aero club membership fee of €100 and insurance of €100
