How the course works
Ground school takes 40–80 hours and ends with a theory exam. Flight training takes place at Spišská Nová Ves airfield; every exercise starts with a ground briefing and ends with a debrief. After 30–50 take-offs, your instructor may clear you for your first solo flight.
In bad weather, we’ll agree on a new date.
Minimum requirements
- Minimum age 16 (under 18 with parent or guardian consent)
- Medical: at least Class 2 (obtained during training)

Paid separately
- Aeroklub Spišská Nová Ves membership fee: €100
- Liability insurance: €100
- Aviation medical exam: approx. €250
- Administrative fees for issuing licences (pilot licence, radiotelephony) up to €30
Medical exam and official fees may change according to external providers’ price lists.
Qualification
An LŠZ pilot licence with no expiry date that lets you fly ultralight aircraft. Medical: at least Class 2.
